The IE Thing is a web-based scheduling program specifically designed to manage "IE Time" (Intervention and Enrichment time) within K-12 schools. This system allows students to select their own choices from a menu of sessions that occur school-wide during the IE time. Students can be scheduled into intervention sessions by administrators as mandatory sessions. Students who do not need additional academic supports may select their own activity to attend by "joining a session."
The IE Thing automatically creates attendance rosters and tracks attendance. Teachers and administrators are able to know if students have attended the sessions.Academic benefits of the IE thing include:
This service was designed by veteran educator, Dr. William Washington, to make the IE period something exciting that students and teachers enjoy. This program provides an element of choice for students and teachers while offering a dynamic scheduling component to the school's master schedule.
